As the Director: My POV
As the director of my AS Level film opening project, "The Sinister Side", I'm basically the boss of this entire operation. Just kidding, sort of. But seriously, my job is to bring this horror/crime thriller to life, and I'm super stoked to share my vision with you.
First things first, I've been analyzing the script like crazy, breaking down the story, and identifying key themes and motifs. I've also been working closely with the writer (aka me) to make sure the script is on point.
Next up, I've been creating a detailed storyboard and shot list. It's like drawing a blueprint for the entire film. I get to visualize the pacing, tone, and atmosphere of each scene, and it's honestly so much fun.
Of course, I couldn't do it without my amazing cast. As director, it's my job to help them develop their characters and performances. I love seeing the actors bring their characters to life, and I'm always encouraging them to experiment and take risks.
Once we're all rehearsed and ready, we'll start filming. This is where the magic happens, folks. I'll be working closely with the cinematographer to create a visually stunning film that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
And finally, during post-production, I'll be working with the editor to make sure the final product is everything I envisioned. It's going to be a wild ride, but I'm so excited to share "The Sinister Side" with you all. Stay tuned!
