Risks: To Be Catered

Our Project " The Sinister Side" is a horror/thriller sequel. Normally, alot of risks are involved in shooting films with violence and death, and altough we tried to minimalize the risks involved, there still were alot of risks we catered.

Firstly, let's talk about the risks involved in the camera work of our film. The Opening Shot of our was a drone shot and using the drone for a location which is surrounded by a forest because if we lost range of the drone we would lose a very expensive drone. So that was a risk we took but we  didn't fly the drone too far so we reduced the risk.

As our Location was a lake side club, the camera work had to be done carefully especially when the establishing shot was took. We needed a far range shot of the location, but kudos to our camera work director, Khizar who worked with the resources he had and stood on top of a tall box in the distance for the shot.

Taking shots from high points for example, our last shot was taken from the first floor, that was a risk our camera director opted to take and he took to it finely.

We also had a BBQ going on during the shooting which was a real one, so for that BBQ, we took assistance from an adult chef which reduced our risks.

Exposure to diseases, extreme weather conditions, and work-induced stress can cause illness. So we did not overburden ourselves by taking constant breaks, the weather condition was not that extreme on set because we had scheduled it according to the weather conditions and taking regular water breaks.

These were some of the potential risks of the projects discussed.
